Indoor Gardening Project by Anderssen & Voll

A collection of specialized tools, the Indoor Gardening Project is an urban greenthumb’s dream. Designed by the Norwegian design studio Anderssen & Voll for the for Canadian store Mjölk, the products were realized with the help of an international team of designers and craftsmen. The glass watering bulb was blown by Gregor Herman; the untreated metalwork for the watering can was done by Harnisch Lamps; the watering can’s waxed wooden handle was crafted by Urbanproduct; and the terracotta pots and planters were hand-thrown by the ceramist Filipa Pimentel.

A spectacular collaborative effort, the project provides users with everything they need to tend to an indoor garden of cacti and herbs. Each piece is especially designed to help keep the soil well-drained for these dry-loving plants. Hence, the watering bulb diffuses moisture over time, the spout of the water can is slender, and the pots and planters come with openings or ridged stands that let the bottom of the soil drain and aerate. With mindful, well-crafted products such as these, becoming a gardener is easy and elegant. Shop the collection online from Mjölk.
