Ultra-Thin Drawer Table by Ineke Hans for Arco

View all 10 Photos

The Drawer Table is a Dutch design by Ineke Hans for the furniture company Arco. Hidden in the slender furnishing are two drawers made of recycled felt. The inclusion of these storage compartments speaks to how the dining table’s role has changed over the years, such that many people now use it as a reading nook and laptop desk as well as a place to eat.

Timely yet versatile, the drawers can hold electronics and magazines or traditional napkins and tableware. Either way, these items will be tucked out of sight within the ultra-thin tabletop. Just at a glance, no one would know there were items inside.
