The facade of this historic home in Caviano, Switzerland, is made entirely of stone. The rough-hewn quality of the exterior contrasts with the interior, which was renovated by Wespi de Meuron Romeo Architects and now features polished concrete and larch wood. Unified by shades of gray and brown, the new and old elements of the building reflect how material and aesthetics can change over time while retaining a similar sense of earthy design.
