As a child, Giacomo built with Lego. Ingenious backdrops and colorful characters were the protagonists of his theater in which operas were acted and filmed, thus combining some of Giacomo's many passions. It can be said he went from film to photography following in the footsteps of his father, who laboriously dragged him on trips, along with a camera. Then came the dark room, where they spent their evenings. The first serious commitment to photography began with the digitization and restoration of old photographs for the museum of the Great War in Cortina d'Ampezzo – the place where he was born in February 1985. He exhibited for the first time in Treviso with a photo exhibition entitled "Sasso di Stria, restoration of the First World War, Summer 2006." In the same year, he participated in another exhibition in Calalzo di Cadore. Crucial for his development as an artist was the meeting with Stefano Zardini, from whom he continues to learn. In July 2007, they both went to Calcutta and Delhi for three photojournalism projects: the first dedicated to the hard work people are still forced to endure in developing countries; the second, more specific, on rickshaw shooters; the third on prostitutes in a brothel in Calcutta.
