Artist and designer Chris Labrooy graduated from the RCA with a degree in product design. He began using 3D as a visualizing tool soon after graduating, to easily bring his ideas to life without having to manufacture prototypes. With the arrival of more advanced CGI technology and software, Labrooy saw an opportunity to explore the medium in a more creative way. By subverting the familiar and twisting the ordinary into distinctive sculptural forms and typographic creations, the artist creates vibrant, colorful artworks that combine visual art, typography, architecture, and product design. Labrooy’s work has been exhibited at the Design Museum in London and featured in numerous design, illustration and typography publications. His clients include Apple, Time Magazine, McDonald’s, Target, and Nike, among many other international brands.
