An award-winning e-bike designed with 3D-printed parts and an organic frame shape.

Winner of the Red Dot Award, Best of the Best Bicycle Design 2019, the PLATZHIRSCH bike is as innovative as it is beautiful. Following on the footsteps of Urwahn Bikes’ previous gems, the Stadtfuchs and the fantastic collab with Vagabund Moto, this new bike complements its cutting-edge build with a clean design. It features a frame with an organic silhouette and 3D-printed parts. As they hide inside the steel frame, the electronic components preserve the minimalist look of the bike intact. Both the frame’s shape and build enhance riding comfort, along with the flexible rear end. PLATZHIRSCH (which translates to “Top Dog”) also provides superior power on the road and city streets. It comes with an innovative Mahle ebikemotion driver and a powerful rear hub motor with 250W and 40Nm torque.

The user can easily choose between the three riding modes that suit various riding styles. Integrated in the down tube, the battery offers assistance for up to 80 km, or around 50 miles. The optional 208W extender expands the range further. Perfect for commuting, the bike has several hidden mounting points for luggage carriers. It also allows the user to easily attach a bottle holder or mudguards. Other features include the Mahle app that offers easy access to controls, a low-maintenance Gates belt drive, and LED lights integrated in the handlebars and seat post. To celebrate the official launch of the PLATZHIRSCH bike, Urwahn Bikes offers an exclusive discount of 500 € (about $550) for pre-orders. Photographs© Urwahn Bikes.
