Considering that a bird’s natural home is located up in the trees, it is only fitting that birdhouses also are made of 100% wood. Birdhouse by Marcin Pogorzelski aka Mapog is a do-it-yourself project, a fun activity for even young children who wish to connect with the outdoors. The pieces that compose the wall of the birdhouse are pre-cut and the seven wooden pieces slot together with a perfect fit. The design of this particular birdhouse is all about ease; a hinge on one of the edges allows the birdhouse to swivel up and away from the back panel, reducing the messiness of maintenance and house-cleaning for the feathered guests. If there is one caveat to this design, it might just be the birdhouse’s exclusivity, especially since many will flock to such a stylish home.
