A major Portuguese architect, Álvaro Siza is the subject of the eponymous title penned by Raul Betti and Greta Ruffino and released by Red Publishing. The Portuguese-language book contains a first-person narrative, told through interview, and delves into Siza’s views on project ethics and historical centers as well as life in Porto and his personal relationships in the art world. Illustrated with photographic portraits and 53 pencil and ink sketches selected by Siza himself, the book offers a rare glimpse into the man’s private time, his people, his travels. Siza drew and collected these pictures over the course of sixty years, and, together, they provide a sweeping view of his creative life. The limited edition book is printed on eco-friendly Favini paper. Find the title online in Red Publishing’s web store and internationally in select bookshops.
